The Lovejoy Choir Department strives to enrich students' lives through musical excellence and strong relationships. In 2006 the choir department had only thirteen students and now the program consists of 195 students in seven choirs. Lovejoy Choirs have exclusively earned Sweepstakes Awards at UIL Concert and Sight-reading competition. They have performed in venues such as St. John the Divine in New York City and at the Vatican in Rome. In February 2013 the Lovejoy Varsity Women's Choir was selected as a State Honor Choir for the Texas Music Educators' Association Convention in San Antonio. This winter, they will sing at local nursing homes. In the spring, they will perform at the state capital in Austin, Texas.
